The Tigers evened up The Series at a Game a piece late Tuesday Night in Oakland. Armando Gallaraga took to the mound with his pitching arsenal full of sharp sliders, charged up change ups and slick sliders for 6 and 1/3 innings. He picked up his 5th win this season giving up only 1 run on 2 hits , 6 walks and 5 strike outs. Gio Gonzales was The Starting Pitcher for The A's and gave up 5 runs on 12 hits to The Tigers.
Detroit took the early lead in the 1st inning when Placido Polanco nailed a 2 run homer and he and Curtis Granderson rounded the bases. Ryan Rayburn followed with a single on a ground ball to center field and Miguel Cabrera scored the 3rd run.
The A's picked up run inthe 4th inning on a Jack cust single on line drive to center and Ryan Sweeney inched the score to 3-1.
Brandon Inge nailed a Texas League Blooper to left field and Ryan Rayburn inched up the score to 4 to 1.
Placido Polanco finished off the 9th inning with a RBI single and Ryan Rayburn scored the run, It was 5 to 1 and Fernando Rodney closed for The Tigers and he had Tigers Fans on the edge of ther seats when he gave up a 2 run homer to Mark Ellis with 1 out but The Tiger Defense took control with an inning ending double play.
