The Giants Win Super Bowl Championship

The New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots on Sunday night with a final score of 21 to 17.

The New York Giants captured the win in Super Bowl 46 with the victory over the New England Patriots in Indiana.  The Giants earned their second championship in the past five seasons after previously defeating the New Enland 17 to 14 back in Super Bowl 42.  Ahmad Bradshaw clinched the win for the Giants with a 6 yard touchdown run with only about one minute left in the game finishing with a total of 72 yards on the ground. Eli Manning earned the MVP award after throwing for a total of 296 yards and completing a touchdown pass to Victor Cruz.  Lawrence Tyne kicked to successful field goals and helped the Giants attain their 4th Lambardi Trophy. 

Tom Brady of the Patriots managed 276 passing yards, two touchdowns and one interception in the loss.  Aaron Hernandez and Danny Woodhead both scored touchdowns in the effort for the Patriots. The Giants had dominated the first quarter with a 9 to 0 lead and New England had come back to take the lead with a 10 to 9 score at the half.  The Patroits increased their lead to  17 to 9 with Brady's second touchdown but then New York managed a pair of field goals and Bradshaw insured the win with the final touchdown of the game. Brady attempted a pass into the enzone in a last ditch effort for the Patriots but it it was incomplete as the time expired on the clock.
