The T.C. West Titans Upset The Petoskey Northmen on Friday Night

The final score was 58 to 51.

The Titans picked up the win over the Petoskey Northmen  Varsity Basketball Team in Traverse City on Friday night.  The Northmen suffered their first lost of the season as they found themselves in foul trouble as well as being unable to overcome the diamond press defense implemented by the Titans.  The Titans had taken a 24 to 14 lead over the Northmen at halftime.  Petoskey fell short from the free throw line and were unable to sink crucial shot during the game and were lacking in the rebound department.  The Northmen managed to tie up the game early in the 4th quarter, but the Titans came right back and took the lead and never looked back.  Graham Placik led the Titans in scoring with 19 points.  Zak Lewis led the Northmen in scoring with  14 points, while Erik Davenport added 12 and Jake Mullin tallied 11 points. The Northmen now stand at 15 to 1 for the season and stand 9 and 1 in the Big North Conference.  The Northmen will travel back home to take on Ogemaw Heights next Friday night, February 19th.  Tune into The All New 1340 AM The Ticket at 7:15 pm to catch all the action live with Brian Shaw and Steve Behan.
