The final score was 55 to 42.

The Petoskey Northmen Varsity Boys Basketball Team  captured the win over the Blue Devils of the Sault Area on Tuesday night at the Sault.  The Blue Devils gave the Northmen a run for their money in the first half of the game.  The Northmen had fallen behind when they  managed to recapture the lead in the final seconds of the first half of the game when Zak Lewis sank back to back 3 point shots to push Petoskey to a 24 to 22 lead at the half.  The Northmen were able to overcome the Blue Devil man-to-man defense in the second half of the game and took advantage of the game from the free throw line and sank some crucial shots.   The Northmen turned up the offensive drive in the 4th quarter and earned the win.  Zak Lewis led Petoskey in scoring with 22 points and both Joe Robbins and Sam Baumgartner added 7 points apiece.  The Northmen will take on Alpena on Friday night in Petoskey.  Tune into The All New 1340 AM The Ticket at 7:15 pm to catch all the action live with Brian Shaw and Steve Behan.
