Michigan pulls out win over in-state rival MSU

Senior guard Stu Douglass hit a layup with 36 seconds left to lead the No. 20 Michigan Wolverines over rival No. 9 Michigan State Spartans. The Wolverines led by 11 points at one point early in the second half, but the Spartans battled back to take a 3 point lead with 5:05 left in the second half, and held that lead until the Douglass layup in the final seconds. Leading the Wolverines were Trey Burke (20 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists), Tim Hardaway Jr. (10 points, 2 assists), and Zack Novak (10 points, 2 assists). Michigan (15-4, 5-2 in Big Ten) has won three straight games against Michigan State.
