The Undefeated Northmen Defeat The Alpena Wildcats On Thursday Night

The final score was 67 to 51.

The Petoskey Northmen captured their 11th straight win with the victory over the Wildcats in Alpena on Thursday night. The Wildcats put on the offensive pressure on the Northmen in the first half of the game as Alpena took an early 15 to 8 lead over the Northmen in the 1st quarter.  The Northmen pressed on in the second quarter and were able to tie the game up in the final seconds of the half until Devin Oneil of the Wildcats was able to sink a 3 point shot to push Alpena passed Petoskey 23 to 20.

 The game had been well contested by Alpena until the last 3 minutes of the third quarter.  Zak Lewis sank crucial 3 point shots  as Petoskey gained momentum on the court and finished the game with 26 points.  The Northmen kept their offensive drive alive in the 4th quarter and The Northmen picked up the win.   Sam Baumgartner added 12 points for the Northmen in the effort and  Erik Davenport finished with 9 points.
